HELP!

I need help with my parenting skills! Here is a picture of Abby thinking of who she can get next! She has learned to be naughty! Abby will be 2 in a few months and is in my eyes a bully to other kids. She hits, scratches and pulls hair. I know all about the "terrible twos" blah, blah, blah.... still need help! I would love suggestions on parenting books that work. Thanks a million!

Kate, I LOVE the Love and Logic books. I believe the authors' last name is "Fay"...anyway, the methods really work for all ages, we started using them when Tay and Rachey were toddlers and still use them now. :) I think most libraries would have them. :)

Abby is a sweety though...and you're doing a SUPER job! :)

I second the Love and Logic books! They are awesome. I think there is a What to Expect Toddler Years, like the What to Expect When Your Expecting too. I feel your pains though hang in there. You are a great Mommy!

That is quite the mischevious face she has. Here comes trouble. ;) I don't have any advice for you, sorry.

One a friend of mine suggested to me is called 1-2-3 Magic. It's basically the rationale behind counting 1-2-3. It's pretty basic, but it gives some scenarios and such that might be helpful. It is geared for children 2-12. I've been trying it on McKay for the last 3-4 months, and so far he's done pretty good. He knows when I get to 3 he's in big trouble. So that's my suggestion.

Isn't it definately harder than they tell ya? Oh the joys of motherhood!

I also completely love the Parenting with Love and Logic books. I highly recommend the most recent edition on CD. It's really hard to find anywhere but the official love and logic website, where you can buy it for $25 (way good deal). I have them if you want to borrow them. Good luck.

I FINALLY got some of the books from the library. The Love and Logic books that is. Mikaela, it is way harder than they tell ya! Sonnet, I would LOVE to borrow your books on CD... I got some of the books but it turns out that they are the ones for the older kids....Don't need those quite yet. But hey, I will sure be prepared when Abby is older. Always a good thing to be as prepared as you can be for everything. Melissa, Teething is the pits! Goooooood luck with that :)
